Companies that donate to veterans' organizations and fundraisers include Bass Pro Shops, Cabela's, Callaway Golf, Cabot Cheese, Topgolf and the San Diego Padres — each names military or veterans causes in its published donation guidelines. Veterans groups have a better starting list than most causes, but every one of these programs has its own area limits, paperwork and lead time, and one well-known program excludes veterans organizations outright.

This guide is part of our [fundraiser donation answers](https://ultimatedonations.org/fundraiser-donation-answers) library. Every company below links to its page in our donor directory, which records what the program has historically offered and how far ahead it asks you to apply. Programs change, so confirm on each page before you send anything.

### Bass Pro Shops and Cabela's

Bass Pro Shops gives merchandise or gift cards for fundraisers, banquets, raffles and door prizes run by organizations near its stores, and supporting military and veterans is one of the three missions that qualify. Cabela's requests now go through the same Bass Pro Shops Apply for Support page, so send one application, not two. Allow 60 to 90 days for review — a veterans banquet should be on the calendar before you ask.

### Callaway Golf

Callaway's Employee Community Giving Program considers product donations to events run by U.S. 501(c)(3) nonprofits in five focus areas, and Military/Veterans is one of them. Apply through its Product Donations Portal, allow six to eight weeks, and note that an organization can receive a donation once per calendar year. Golf product is a natural fit for a veterans golf outing.

### Cabot Cheese

Cabot Creamery Cooperative takes in-kind product requests for charity events through the form on its Community Support page, and lists veteran support among its priorities. Cabot says it needs at least three weeks to consider a request; our record lists six weeks, so ask at the longer end.

### Topgolf

Topgolf's online form accepts requests 30 to 90 days before an event, from 501(c)(3) organizations whose focus is one of education, military, golf, health and wellness, animals, or disaster relief. Your event or organization must be within 40 miles of a Topgolf location.

### San Diego Padres

For 501(c)(3) groups in the Greater San Diego area, the Padres consider requests for large-scale raffles and auctions under three focus areas, one of which covers military and first responders. Their page says signed memorabilia are fully allocated, so expect goodie bags of promotional items. Apply through the online portal at least six weeks ahead, plan to pick the donation up at Petco Park, and assume a no if you have not heard back before your event.

## Other routes worth knowing

Some companies support veterans in ways that are not an event donation, and knowing the difference saves a wasted request.

- [Stop & Shop](https://ultimatedonations.org/donor/stop-and-shop-supermarket-donation) runs a Community Bag Program in which store leadership picks a local nonprofit each month; military and veterans causes are among the focus areas its beneficiaries fall under. For a one-off donation request, Stop & Shop says to contact your local store.
- [Carnival Cruise Lines](https://ultimatedonations.org/donor/carnival-cruise-lines-product-donation) lists support for veterans, military families and first responders among its focus areas. Carnival Foundation says it is not accepting applications, but Carnival Cruise Line's homeport page still offers a form to request a donated cruise for a raffle or auction, at least three months ahead.
- [Home Depot](https://ultimatedonations.org/donor/home-depot-product-donation) gives through the Home Depot Foundation's Veteran Housing Grants, which fund construction or rehabilitation of permanent supportive housing for veterans — a capital grant, not a raffle prize.
- [Lowe's](https://ultimatedonations.org/donor/lowes-product-donation) Community Impact Grants pay for renovating community spaces, a place for veterans to gather among the examples, through a yearly nomination window for projects within 30 miles of a Lowe's store.

## Check the exclusions before you ask

Not every program is open to veterans groups. [Purell](https://ultimatedonations.org/donor/purell-donation) lists veterans organizations among those that are not eligible, alongside labor and fraternal organizations, so skip it for a veterans post or auxiliary request. Reading each company's own exclusions first is the fastest way to avoid a refusal — our guide to [what gets a donation request approved](https://ultimatedonations.org/requesting-donations-tips-and-tricks) covers the other common reasons.

## Eligibility and timing

Callaway Golf, Topgolf and the San Diego Padres state that they require 501(c)(3) status. Before you send requests, confirm which entity's paperwork you are using and keep it consistent across every form; our guide to [getting product donations without a 501(c)(3)](https://ultimatedonations.org/donations-without-501c3) explains the options if your group's status differs. This is informational, not legal advice.

The notice periods above run from three weeks to three months, so start from your event date and count backwards.
