## Donation program at a glance

- Lead time: 30 days
- Area restrictions: Regional

Six Flags parks, including Cedar Point, donate admission for charitable organizations and fundraising events through one online application on the Six Flags Charities page.

The request program opens in the first quarter of each year and stays available until that year's donated admission is all distributed, so it can close mid-year.

Subject to availability, a park may provide 2 to 4 admissions per request; the maximum is four per request, and only one request per organization is accepted in a 12-month period.

Six Flags does not donate cash or checks, food, merchandise or Season Passes through this program, and donated admission may not be marketed or resold except at approved charity fundraisers.

Only requests submitted through the online application are reviewed; requests by email, mail, phone or the Contact Us form are not.

Not eligible: groups that discriminate; for-profits; individuals or families; wedding fundraisers; religious groups; political parties; fundraising for out-of-country initiatives; after-prom or grad nights; staff rewards; equipment fundraisers for for-profit or government-funded groups (schools excepted); competitions, recognition events, door prizes, giveaways or free raffles; and groups raising funds for another group.

Tips from the program page: Apply as early in the year as the application opens, because requests close once the year's allotment is gone. · Check the Six Flags Charities page before applying to see whether requests are currently open. · Cedar Point also runs separate group fundraising opportunities listed on the same Six Flags Charities page, if a donated item is not available.

## When to ask

Cedar Point states a lead time of 30 days. Count back that far from your event date and send the request no later than then.

Across more than 25,000 fundraising events in our own records over fifteen years, March, April and May are the busiest months for fundraisers, October is the next busiest, and July and December are the quietest.

Work backwards from your event rather than forwards from today, and if your event falls in the spring peak, ask earlier than the stated lead time rather than later.
