## Donation program at a glance

- Lead time: 3 weeks (in-kind); quarterly windows Jan/Apr/Jul/Oct for grants over $2,500
- Area restrictions: Regional

Wawa offers two kinds of support: financial grants through The Wawa Foundation, and in-kind support for local community events and organizations through Wawa Community Care.

In-kind product donations are soft pretzels or Wawa branded water. They must be picked up at a local Wawa store and cannot be resold at your program or event.

For silent auctions and fundraising events, Wawa can give a gift basket with a selection of Wawa gift items and coupons.

In-kind support depends on budget: it is available only while the budget for the applicable store, area or region has not run out.

Financial grants go only to registered 501(c)(3) nonprofits operating in Wawa's areas that fit its three focus areas: health, hunger and everyday heroes.

Grants over $2,500 are accepted in January, April, July and October; local grants under $2,500 are considered on an ongoing basis while the year's budget lasts.

The Wawa Foundation's Criteria for Success says it does not provide grants or other Wawa resources for individuals, galas, program ads or advertising, sports sponsorships or performing arts, political causes, or organizations not exempt under 501(c)(3).

Tips from the program page: After you submit an in-kind request you receive a confirmation that it was received, and The Wawa Foundation then tells you the next step. · If Wawa cannot fulfil an approved product donation, it says it will try to provide an equal alternative.
