The organization's core mission must promote safety and responsibility within sports or outdoors and/or support first responder programs that foster safer communities.
Opportunities are for a collective group, such as a sports association, league or school district, rather than an individual, an individual school, a travel team or an individual sports team.
The organization must not have an affiliation with religious or political organizations.
The initiative must take place in a community where Academy has a store. The page lists Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, Missouri, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia and West Virginia.
Requests submitted through channels other than the community relations email will not be considered.
