Nikon's online request form says it evaluates each request on how it fits with Nikon's marketing brand strategies, consumer reach, consumer engagement and the impact on the communities Nikon serves.

Nikon will not consider applications for labor unions, political causes, religious causes, auctions, raffles, or fundraising activities.

Nikon does not support events or projects directly for individuals.

Nikon only considers proposals from US-based entities or organizations, for programs in the United States.

How to apply

Nikon asks every request to include the following.

• Applications are online only; Nikon no longer accepts proposals by postal mail, telephone, direct email, fax or other means.
• Apply at least six months before your program starts, and allow 12 weeks for a response.
• You must be 18 or older to apply.

What Nikon will not fund

Nikon states in its own published guidelines that it will not fund the following.

• Auctions, raffles or fundraising activities
• Labor unions

• Religious causes
• Programs outside the United States
