Marriott is a franchisor and hotel management company that does not own most of its hotels; each hotel makes its own decisions on room inventory.
Marriott's Social Impact department does not negotiate discounts or in-kind donations of room nights, meeting rooms or other hotel services; those are hotel-level requests.
Donated items or rooms may not be marketed or resold, except donations, gift cards or stay certificates given for charitable fundraising auctions.
Individual business units may choose to support charitable fundraising auction requests, but Marriott corporate-level charitable giving is not available for that purpose.
Marriott does not consider unsolicited requests for financial support and does not factor loyalty status in evaluating requests.
Tips from the program page: Send your auction request to the specific Marriott-brand hotel near your event; the guidelines say corporate does not handle in-kind or room night requests. · Lead with your 501(c)(3) status, since Marriott's guidelines make it the first eligibility test. · Ask for a gift card or stay certificate for your auction, the in-kind items the guidelines name as allowed for charitable fundraising auctions.
