Travel companies that donate to fundraisers

13 companies in our travel category have product donation programs for schools, nonprofits, and community fundraisers. Each listing explains what they give and how to apply.

Travel companies, including hotels, resorts, ski areas, an airline and a cruise line, give in-kind items such as resort vouchers and donated cruises for auctions and raffles, and you ask through each property's own online form or by email, usually to the location nearest your event.

Snowshoe Mountain spells out its menu: lift, tubing, all-in-one activity pass or bike park vouchers, or a round of golf for four, valid midweek, mainly for West Virginia nonprofits. Submit its form sixty days before your event; it takes one request per year and never donates lodging. Carnival Cruise Lines offers a form for nonprofits in its core areas to request a donated cruise for a raffle or auction at least three months ahead, though the company's foundation is not accepting applications and does not consider schools or parent-teacher groups.

Hotels run their programs property by property. The Ritz-Carlton - Philadelphia, The Ritz-Carlton - Kapalua and The Ritz-Carlton - St. Louis consider requests from local nonprofits focused on hunger and poverty relief, child well-being and environmental responsibility, and say they respond within two weeks. Mandarin Oriental, New York takes online requests from nonprofits and schools, locally and nationwide, for auction, raffle and door prize donations, and reviews them within two weeks. The Breakers Palm Beach and Omni Los Angeles Hotel at California Plaza both take requests through an online form.

Vail Ski Resort (Part of Vail Resorts, Inc.) takes emailed requests to the charitable contributions office at its parent company. Because almost everything here is regional, start with the properties closest to your event, and ask early: SkyWest Airlines lists two months, and Carnival Cruise Lines needs at least three.
