Office companies that donate to fundraisers

2 companies in our office category have product donation programs for schools, nonprofits, and community fundraisers. Each listing explains what they give and how to apply.

Office supply companies in this directory give writing instruments and support for school purchases rather than raffle prizes, and only Pentel takes donation requests directly, through an online application.

Pentel donates its products to nonprofits with 501(c) status whose work fits education, health and human services, or the arts. Use of the product must be direct, and Pentel does not support political or religious causes or individual participation in events or fundraisers such as walk-a-thons. After approval, allow six to eight weeks for the products to arrive.

Staples no longer describes a store donation program for fundraisers on its own site. What it offers schools is indirect: a classroom rewards program, where parents and students earn money back on in-store purchases for a local school or teacher; a donation to a charity a shopper picks at checkout on its website; and school-supply donation kits that store customers buy for a local organization.

For a classroom project or supply drive, Pentel is the direct ask: name the priority your work fits and how the products will be used. For Staples, tell families about its classroom rewards program rather than writing a request letter.
