Home companies that donate to fundraisers

9 companies in our home category have product donation programs for schools, nonprofits, and community fundraisers. Each listing explains what they give and how to apply.

Home companies in this directory give a mix of gift baskets, Dyson machines, reduced-cost products, store discount certificates, cash and grants, and each has its own way in: an email, a printed form taken to a store, or an online application.

Through its foundation, Dyson donates its machines for fundraising to causes in engineering education or medical and scientific research, with priority for organizations near its offices in this country; apply online two months before your fundraiser. Baskets Galore donates in-kind gift baskets, one per organization per calendar year, asks you to email, and takes no donation requests in the busy last three months of the year. Yeti considers requests for reduced-cost products for fundraising through an online form at least sixty days before the event.

Some big names give in other forms. Costco (Warehouse) takes monetary requests only, on a printed form brought to your nearest warehouse four to six weeks ahead, and a warehouse may issue store shop cards instead. Ollie's Bargain Outlet does not donate products, cash or gift cards; it mails eligible 501(c)(3) organizations a discount certificate for one transaction, once per year. Home Depot and Dollar General (Grants) give through grant programs rather than event donations.

Before you write, check two things: whether the company gives to events at all, and how close to it you need to be. Donaldson's Greenhouse & Nursery gives in-kind donations to organizations in its region through an online request form, and is worth a look if you are nearby.
