Does Worlds of Fun Oceans of Fun donate to fundraisers?

Worlds of Fun supports nonprofit organizations, schools and community programs through in-kind admission donations when possible.

Donations are limited to four admissions per organization per calendar year.

Donated admission may be used for fundraising events such as silent auctions and raffles, or for educational or enrichment programs.

Requests are reviewed on a rolling basis and fulfilled based on alignment with community priorities, available inventory, and the timing and completeness of the request; not all requests can be fulfilled, and approved organizations are notified by email.

Worlds of Fun may prioritize youth-focused organizations, education initiatives and underserved communities.

Worlds of Fun cannot grant requests from individuals, political or lobbying organizations, organizations whose primary purpose is promoting a particular religious faith, organizations that discriminate against legally protected groups, or requests received less than four weeks before the event.

Tips from the program page: Aim for six weeks, not four; requests arriving under four weeks before the event are not granted. · Spell out how the admission will be used at your auction or raffle, since the form asks for it and completeness counts in the review. · If your group serves youth, education or an underserved community, say so plainly; those are the stated priorities.

How to apply

Worlds of Fun Oceans of Fun asks every request to include the following.

• Be a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, school, or community-based group serving the greater Kansas City region or areas aligned with Worlds of Fun community initiatives.
• Complete the official online donation request form with your organization's name and contact information, proof of nonprofit status, event details (date, location, purpose) and how the donated admission will be used.
• Submit a complete request at least 4 to 6 weeks before the event.

Across more than 25,000 fundraising events in our own records over fifteen years, March, April and May are the busiest months for fundraisers, October is the next busiest, and July and December are the quietest.
